Zechariah 12:10 in Dead Sea Scrolls is a prophecy of YHWH being pierced by the piercing of his Son, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will "mourn" for "him" -- a third person --while YHWH is "pierced through the wounds of his beloved son."
But the Septuagint's flaws are thus exposed because it has no mention of piercing of anyone.
We show in this video how the KJV got this right -- and matches the Dead Sea Scrolls. Neither the Septuagint nor Masoretic test show the 'piercing' language. But the KJV had it. How?
Because Jerome in translating Zechariah used the Hebrew Bible of his time, and only with the Dead Sea Scrolls did we find the reason for Jerome's including the 'piercing' language. We screenshot the Dead Sea Scroll's translation by Abegg, proving sometimes Jerome preserved Messianic prophecies which sadly the Masoretes went to the Septuagint version to erase a prophecy that fit Jesus' life -- the soldier piercing his side to make sure Jesus was dead.
Tovia Singer reading the Hebrew contends it is either one Jew dies or an Israel soldier dies, and sees no mention of Jesus. But for those who know the story of Jesus, Jesus' crucifixion fulfilled this word in Zechariah.
