The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats requires followers of Jesus to help those brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need. This is consistent with Deut 15:7-8 -- a command to lend to your community brothers and sisters who are in need.
This is consistent with Matthew 16:27 that Jesus will return to "repay every man according to his works." Paul died in 66 AD per Blue Letter Bible, and John wrote his gospel near 90 AD, yet still has Jesus affirming a gospel at odds with Paul.
In John 5:28-29, Jesus says those who "do good things," shall come forth to the "resurrection" when Jesus returns, but those who did "evil things," will go to "damnation." We are admonished by John in 2 John 1:9 "to not go beyond, and remain in the teaching of Jesus Christ," and "whoever rmains in the teachings [of Jesus] the same has both the Father and Son."
In Rev. 22:14, written ca. 69 AD, John records "Happy are the ones doing his commandments, so that their right will be the tree of life, and they shall enter by the gates to the city."
Cf. 1 Peter 1:17 "And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work, pass the time of sojourning here in fear."
The parable of the Sheep and the Goats happens also to be an exact match of James ch. 2. vv. 14-17. At 13:47 we show direct parallels chart. We list at 15:09 Peter and John post-Paul still have Jesus' gospel in tact. Parable of Good Samaritan says to help strangers. The Parable of the Sheep and Goats is to help brothers and sisters obeying God.
