Paul in John's revelation Pt 5: Does Jesus mock Paul's words in 1 Cor. 2:10 on "deep things"?

In 1 Cor. 2:10, Paul writes:

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things [Bathe] of God. (1 Cor. 2:10 KJV.)

In Rev. 2:24 KJV, reads:

24 I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who haven’t known the deep things [Bathe] of Satan—as they say—I do not put any other burden on you.

Now you have to step back and see it from the 100 foot level.

The IVP [Intervarsity Press] New Testament Commentary Series on Rev. 2:24 explains Jesus is apparently alluding to 1 Cor. 2:10:

“Jezebel may even have quoted Paul to the effect that ‘God has revealed it to us by his Spirit’ and ‘the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God’ (1 Cor 2:10). Possibly with Paul's statement in view, the risen Jesus announces, not just to Thyatira but to all churches” … that I will repay each of you according to your deeds, adding that the ‘deep things’ of such groups as this are not the profound truths of God, but the ‘deep secrets’ of Satan himself (v. 24).

Ernest Renan in History of Christianity Vol. III St. Paul [ca. 1871]at 73) sees Paul throughout Revelation:;

“Paul from this moment was for a section of the Church one of the most dangerous of heretics … a false Apostle [Rev. 2:2] a new Balaam [Rev. 2:14], a Jezebel....His gospel was a false Gospel... [H]is visions, which he calls ‘depths of God’ [1 Cor. 2:10] they qualified as the ‘depths of Satan’ [Rev.2:24]; his Churches they named the ‘Synagogues of Satan;’ [Rev.2:9; 3:9] in spite of Paul, they proclaim boldly that the Twelve are the foundation of the Church of Christ” [Rev. 21:14]

In 1869, Renan ascribed these passages in Rev. 2 & 3 to hatred by the apostles towards Paul -- thus denying the validity of the book of Revelation:

“The second and third chapters of the Apocalypse are a cry of hatred against Paul and his friends.”

Renan describes the anti-Paul writings throughout NT, veiled though they were, by the early church as the "cries of hatred" "insult," "calumny," and "envy." He calls James the Just and the apostles who were concerned about Paul's possible "apostasy" against Moses the reflection of "shallow minds." (Renan at 301.) James supposedly obliged Paul to "hypocrisy" to observe the Nazarite vow in Acts 21 to prove Paul was obeying Moses still, forcing Paul to give pledges to the "littleness of mind." Id..

If you escape the difficulty by denying the validity of the Book of Revelation, you are going the wrong way:

18 I testify to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.

19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this prophetic book, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, written in this book. (Rev. 22:18-19 Holman Christian Standard Bible.)
