Paul teaches eternal security for belief in facts about Jesus' life, e.g., 1 Cor. 15:1-4 (if you believe Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead, you "shall" be saved.).
Jesus contradicts this clearly in John 15:6. But it is mistranslated to disguise it -- the word EXO -- outside -- is rendered as 'away' or 'forth' etc. If translated correctly, we would see the link to Rev. 22:15 -- outside are the sinners who will go to the lake of fire.
Hence Christians -- branches -- that do not remain in Jesus, will be thrown "outside," to be "burned," Jesus says in John 15:6 - a promise of how to lose salvation. This shocks Pauline Christians. So far, they use suppressed translations to hide this as much as possible, never translating in NIV or KJV the word EXO where Christians go who are cut off the vine - meaning "outside."" For that would trigger the memory of Rev. 22:15 of the lost waiting to be burned who are likewise ""outside" (EXO). We cannot have that if we are Pauline Christians.
