Only Jesus (great song by Big Daddy) What Did Jesus Say? (2012) - 7 topics None above affiliated with me |

Most persons assume only Matthew and some passages in Luke and of course Revelation are anti-Paul. But think about it. The book of Revelation is written around 68 AD while John is still on the island of Patmos. He sometime in the 90s AD - 22 plus years later -- writes the Gospel of John. Do you think anything changed theologically? No. But we nly hear verses in John that sound like faith alone. Why? Because of systemic mistranslation of pisteuo + verb ending + eis (unto) as "believe in." Sounds like Paul. But all 35 x this should be "obey unto." We make the point again, but hammer it home with Rev. 22:14 that uses other words "obey the commandments" ---and these have the "right" (exousia in Greek) to partake of the "tree of life." This is virtually identical to John's prologue which says in John 1:12 that those who "obey unto Jesus" have the "right' -- exousia - to come to the "tree of life." This means John's Gospel message of salvation in John 1:12 has the same gospel as Jesus in Revelation 22:14 -- both clearly anti-Pauline.
This fits the 35 times that John uses "pisteuo" distinctly different than Paul's belief-in-facts version (1 Cor. 15:1-4 - pisteuo en the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and you 'shall' be saved). These are 2 absolutely contrary gospels. John's Gospel is filled with anti-Paul doctrine, such as we saw in the last video on John 15:6. See
• In John 15:6 Does Jesus say if you do not remain in Him you will be thrown "outside" to be "burned"?
We will treat this as episode 1 in is John's Gospel the most Anti-Paul Gospel in the NT? And add the video on John 15:6 as assigned as episode 2 in that series.
